Middle Primary
In the Middle Primary years, we foster and build on the learning and attitudes the students have gained in their Junior Primary years.
In Literacy the students continue their work in synthetic phonics and going into more detail with the various comprehension strategies. We are approaching Maths through problem solving strategies, working both individually and collaboratively. Various mental strategies are practised to enable students to problem solve in different learning situations.
All areas of the Australian curriculum are covered. STEM is a focus at Woodside and the students are enjoying all aspects especially the work with Robotics.
